To become a member of the Mentor Program

In order to qualify, the candidate must be:

  • Age 18 or over
  • Certified as Advanced Open Water or higher
  • Able to dive in Florida or Illinois if needed
  • Have a neat appearance and be a non-smoker

The protégé will learn all facets of the Scuba industry while assisting Patrick & Sherry Hammer and the Scuba Emporium team two days a month. The goal of program is to prepare the protégé for a career in the Scuba industry. They will get exposure to sales & marketing, retail operations, management, teaching and resort operations.

  • Two positions will be available annually
  • Resumes for 2011 will be accepted starting July 1, 2010. Send it and a 500 word essay "Why I want to be in the Mentor Program" to:
